The Child Care Service covers a range of childcare consultancy services for the practitioner (i.e. nannies, nursery nurses and child minders) and the family.
Our child care consultancy services extend to a variety of establishments including pre–school, childrens centres, nursery's, private and voluntary sector organisations and local authorities
Our aim is to improve the lives of children and their families whether at home or in childcare provision and to provide a personalised consultancy service for individual needs within budget restraints. We will endeavour to keep children and families at the fore front of everything we do and continuously monitor our practices to ensure we provide a service that promotes high quality early years provision and meets individual client needs.
Our child care consultancy can be tailored to reflect the needs of an individual family with a Nanny, assist with the requirements of child minders or cater for a whole organisational recruitment drive!
Practical Child Care Consultancy

- staff induction, probation and appraisal cycles
- job descriptions/recruitment/retention of staff
- identifying staff training needs and requirements

- updating statements of purpose, policies and procedures

Whilst we do specialise in the consultancy for childcare providers, our business operational knowledge can also be transferred to any setting to improve management skills and increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Child Care Consultancy for Families
Our consultant, Jane Hall, can offer family support. Jane has first-hand experience of many of the issues she advises on, because she has walked in your shoes and can empathise with your problems she will offer a non-judgemental 'listening ear' and provide practical, down-to-earth advice and support. Our consultants are committed to providing confidential advice via secure e-mail, through face to face meetings, telephone support and with regular feedback throughout a contracted period.
Contact us initially by email, giving a brief outline of your particular needs. Through a discussion of your situation we will assess your needs and agree a plan of action. We will email an outline action plan together with a breakdown of specific charges.
A suggested timescale for implementation of the the plan will also be agreed. A detailed report including any suggested strategies for improvement will be sent within one month of our consultation. (often sooner and for larger organisations requiring longer term consultancy we will negotiate regular reviews).
Clients have up to 14 working days to pay from date of invoice. There is no VAT.
